More study suggestions for the final
Most of the metamorphic rocks on the Ga. Piedmont and Blue Ridge were regionally metamorphosed, the only places to see contact metamorphism is close to the large granites and the diabase dikes.
Remember the difference between foliated and non-foliated metamorphic rocks and remember examples of each.
The agents of metamorphism are heat, pressure, and fluids (pressurized water).
Igneous and metamorphic activity are Internal Processes (happening below the Earth's surface), while Weathering, Erosion, and Deposition are External Processes (happening at the Earth's surface).
The grain sizes of clastic sedimentary rocks are related to Water Energy Conditions. The amount of sorting is related to water energy and length of transport.
